Yo, I have an idea thats been stewing for jaws 5. I finally found a way to maintain the continuity of the original series yet keep it original. So who`s been on it? What do you think? I went on it ten times. I managed to get a great picture when the ride goes into the dark in the boathouse. The shark looks very convincing whe dimly lit and with water spaying up. Anyone been to the ride in Japan?

Universal Studios Florida has a jacket worn by Roy Scheider in Jaws on display. Only thing is it`s the blue jacket worn in Jaws2. Always pay attention to detail!

Jaws diorama. The wrong choice!!

While its great to see a Jaws diorama to commemorate and pay tribute to this classic film, I dont know if "THIS" diorama was the right choice. Personally i find it a bit unwieldly,.. it is simply too big a piece to "Do right". Because of this i think accuracy had to be compromised to "Stuff it all in" to one piece (a mistake!!). 

The scales vary wildly from one end to the other. From a Bruce that looks to be a "Fifty footer" to the Orca which looks like its come from the "Mini me boat yard". There are too many scale shifts throughout the model which make some areas look good and then other areas look way off. Although this scene is an epic part of the film i think it was the wrong choice to reproduce. 

Personally i would have produced a highly detailed and completely accurate diorama of Brody on the mast with Bruce having just come up from the water to attack. This would vastly help with scale as everything is in a tight radius and most of the Orca could be portrayed as sunk. It is also a scene in the film that encapsulates "JAWS" into one great image. 

I dont feel that Mcfarlane is up to scratch with this model. I have always been rather impressed with the "Hyper accuracy" of most of thier pieces but i dont quite see it here. To say iam a nit picky fan would be right but no less than any other fan of the film iam sure.

I totaly agree dude. Im not gonna complain too much because anything is better than nothing, but this was definitly not the right choice. But thats been the curse of Jaws merchandising and the series in general. Its like when theres a chance to renew the property as a viable moneymaker or concept Uni studios goes and makes J4 
Its like there aint no respect for the series as anything more than a dorky thrill show with a fake shark that frightened people. They dont get it. I can only hope Mcfarlane does somthing better with this licenced product the next time. But then if this doesnt make money there might mnot be a next time. Like the film series. 
So buy 2 or three even if its kinda weak.

Yeah, boys, `fraid I`m with ya on this one. Oh, sure, I`m glad to have it, but look at the figure o` me! If that`s to scale with the Orca, then I`m 15 feet tall! An` the colors! It`s been a debate on this site what colors the Orca is, but brown and grey? That`s obviously wrong! An` what`s with Bruce bein` so shiny? So they were tryin` to make `im look wet, fine, but he came out lookin` like a chunk o` plastic! I just wish they`d made the Orca whole and afloat, with a figure to scale with it. That woulda been better. Like I said, I`m glad to have it, but I hope I can find a better kit than this one.
